The JLC Outreach Team is a church-based, community-centered, and Jesus-centered group. We’re a team of young people from various churches in Lenasia South, passionate about using our gifts to reach and inspire others.

Praise and worship is our passion and we have been blessed with talents and abilities which have allowed us to be part of the music ministry in our respective churches. Praise and worship goes’ beyond words and feelings, it is the foundation for our true servanthood towards God, worship is so intimate as it defines our relationship with Him. There is nothing on this earth, or in our lives, that is more important than our relationship with God and we believe that we need to draw closer to God and what better way than to through praise and worship.

We do not however solely focus on music as we believe that outreach work encompasses of so much more. We endeavor to ensure that we can make a difference in our community by helping the most vulnerable members of society. Community outreach is of utmost importance to us and we are always looking to get involved in projects that are aimed at uplifting our community and society as a whole.

What we do

We engage in various activities, including:

• Music ministry: Praise and worship are our passion.
• Community outreach: We strive to make a difference in the lives of people in need.
• Events: We host gospel concerts, open-air services, and combined youth services.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make a difference and impact the nation by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe in using our talents and abilities to bless the heart of the nation and serve the community.

Our Vision

We envision a community where people are connected to Christ and to each other. We believe in building unity and encouraging people to fall deeper in love with God.

The team was inspired by GOD to use their gifts to reach and inspire people to the knowledge and acceptance of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and thus the birthing of JLC Outreach dance and drama group was formed. They performed not only locally but also had the opportunity to Glorify GOD in Zimbabwe. As the word of GOD says Promotions comes from the HIM and within the Group GOD Raised up Worshippers – Psalmist and Musicians. A love song for JESUS was placed in our hearts and we want the world to know. The team you see now exists for that very reason. With all humble beginnings we however had not a lot of opportunities at the start. There was no practice venue, so practice would take place in a lounge with everyone making an effort to make the environment conducive for practice, team members at the time would carry their instruments to and from practice as there was no means of transport but we did not let that stop us from expanding the music ministry. Parents were very supportive and ensured that they did as much as they could to assist.

In GOD’s time Churches started inviting us to minister at youth services, open airs and other church events. GOD was not done growing us and in 2006 JLC Worship Centre was established and as GOD built HIS church and we had a home and covering. The church became our practice venue and we made use of the church sound and instruments. We began to grow as a group as we matured in our walk with Christ, and our desire to spread the gospel grew day by day.

God has opened many doors for us and we were privileged to minister in music at many gospel events around Gauteng, furthermore we were invited to Mpumalanga to minister at a crusade which changed our lives in a way we never thought possible. We then hosted our first concert in Lenasia South which was phenomenal.

Our shared vision, “Making a difference, Impacting the Nation”, has inspired us to host events that are aimed at sharing the gospel of Jesus with the world. We have been blessed with gifts and abilities that we want to use to bless the heart of the nation. In doing so we do not only want to use music to touch the lives of people but want to make an impact by reaching out to make a difference in the lives of people that are in need.

Our hearts cry is to see the people of our community getting involved in things of the Lord, we want to encourage people to reconnect and fall deeper in love with Christ, we want people to see the love of Christ in all we do. We believe that as a body of Christ we need to stand together and strive towards building a sense of unity among our people. We believe that: “We are the chosen generation, we are blessed & highly favoured, we are here to make a difference, to touch the nation, to leave a legacy, to show the world that Jesus is the way”.
