Our Purpose

Our purpose is to set a platform for the Word of God to be received, hearts to be challenged and changed, and minds to be renewed, all for His glory and the furtherance of the kingdom of God. As a team, we dedicate ourselves to:

1. Selecting and preparing music: Choosing songs that honor God and edify the congregation.
2. Living a life of worship: Modeling a lifestyle of worship and devotion to God.
3. Having absolute fun and joy: Enjoying the privilege of worshiping God together and experiencing the joy of serving Him.

By pursuing these goals, we aim to bring glory to God’s name and advance His kingdom, while creating an atmosphere of worship that inspires and uplifts the congregation.

Inspiration

Psalm 100:4-5 reminds us to “Enter his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” This scripture fuels our passion to create an atmosphere of worship, where God’s people can come together to praise and glorify Him.

Vision

The JLC Worship Team exists to create an atmosphere for the congregation to worship God through music, leading them into deeper worship and bringing God’s people to His throne through musical excellence, creativity, and passion. Above all, we desire for God to be glorified through everything we do as a worship team.

We are guided by scriptures such as:

• Colossians 3:16-17: “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
• 1 Corinthians 10:31: “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
